About Shlomo
I’m a licensed therapist committed to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges while honoring their personal and spiritual beliefs.
My diverse background and specialized training enable me to offer compassionate and effective therapy that bridges secular and religious perspectives.
I bring a unique perspective to my practice. My rabbinical ordination and eight years of experience in yeshiva high schools provide me with a deep understanding of adolescent and young adult issues, particularly within religious communities. After earning my degree in mental health counseling, I worked at Walden Behavioral Care for five years, where I honed my skills in treating eating disorders and other mental health concerns.
My approach integrates evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, REBT, and IFS with an understanding of religious and cultural contexts. I excel at establishing genuine and trusting relationships with my clients, and I am dedicated to helping them achieve behavioral stability, build self-identity, and connect with their core selves, all while respecting their spiritual beliefs. I do my best to stay in touch with my clients after they've finished weekly sessions and check in with them to continue maintaining emotional wellness.
My practice focuses on individuals aged 16 and older, offering specialized support for eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship difficulties, and mood dysregulation. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate and overcome difficult thinking patterns, painful emotions, and unwanted behaviors to lead enjoyable and meaningful lives.
